Designing for Transformation

What does it mean to design for transformation? For the past 10 years, Airbnb has changed the way people think about where they’ll stay on their next vacation. But accommodations were never the full vision. When Airbnb decided to expand and offer Experiences, design and research partners Jing Jian and Hannah Pileggi were asked to make travel magical, and to design a new product that would spark personal transformation.

People are unpredictable, so designing solutions that satisfy their needs can present interesting challenges. In this talk, Jing and Hannah will reveal their creative process, failures and successes, and three lessons learned for tackling bold product visions.
