International Women’s Day

In honor of International Women’s Day, AIGA SF will spend the evening celebrating the accomplishments of women in design. Speakers from the San Francisco design community will share their personal experiences, followed by a panel moderated by Big Monocle CEO Amy Stellhorn. The conversation will include challenges women face in the industry, and an exploration about how the broader community can overcome them.

UX Design Manager Jenny Arden manages a large portion of the design team at Airbnb where she focuses on helping Hosts become successful entrepreneurs. She oversees teams that address some of the most difficult aspects of the sharing economy including regulation and anti-discrimination. She’s an advocate for women in tech, providing leadership and guidance for groups aiming to create awareness for diversity. She will talk about her experience as a woman in the design industry, alongside other talented women including Capital One Design Manager, Alana Washington.

The evening will be a celebration, as well as an exploration on how to best support women and create equal gender ratio at all levels.
